Announcing AutoCon 0: The Network Automation Conference

We're thrilled to introduce AutoCon 0, the inaugural event hosted by the Network Automation Forum (NAF). AutoCon 0 aims to bring together engineers, architects, developers, and industry experts from enterprises, service providers, and vendors to dive deep into the world of network automation. Scheduled to take place this November 13th and 14th in Denver, CO, AutoCon 0 is set to be an exciting and informative conference that explores the current state and future possibilities of network automation.

Motivation

For over 15 years, the concept of network automation has been discussed extensively. However, its adoption has not progressed as rapidly as anticipated. NAF seeks to address this disparity by examining the reasons behind the slower than expected uptake of network automation. We believe that by creating a dedicated platform for discussion, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, we can unlock the potential of automation, orchestration, and observability in networking.

objectives

AutoCon 0 dares to ask: Why haven’t we seen full adoption of network automation, yet?

To answer this, AutoCon 0 is focused on achieving several objectives:

  1. Assess the current state of network automation, identify successful strategies, and pinpoint areas for improvement.

  2. Delve into the business case for network automation, analyzing the factors that influence adoption.

  3. Explore how emerging AI/ML tools might be leveraged to accelerate network automation and shape the next wave of advancements.

  4. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and community building, encouraging the sharing of information and solutions.
