AC2: Come on In, Pull up a Chair

We’re super excited about AutoCon 2! Here are some things to think about as we gather in Denver this November.

What We Do

NAF exists to support the adoption of network automation through sharing information and promoting best practices. NAF does this through events, and we are growing other ways for the community to work together: training and workshops, webinars, podcasts, community building, topical conversations, documenting frameworks and best practices, knowledge sharing, and other modes of collaboration.

Come Together

These activities require people of all different types and backgrounds - all of us - to work together. Each of us brings our own particular views on how to best promote and adopt network automation - many of these views are complementary, some are in conflict. In all cases, NAF strives to be a place to work through issues constructively and advance the cause of network automation together.

Work Together

Some of the analogies we use to describe NAF include a salon, watering hole, or a pub. These are all places where people mingle and seek out refreshment. We see NAF and events like AutoCon 2 as spaces where we can have constructive, useful, enjoyable, and fun conversations about advancing network automation. There is a seat for everyone involved in NAF:

  • End Users and Implementers making automation happen in all sorts of networks

  • Consulting firms walking alongside those implementers

  • Training companies delivering knowledge and skills to the community

  • Vendors and technology providers bringing tools and tech to the table

  • Managers and leaders working on business cases and supporting implementers

  • And any others helping to advance network automation, orchestration, and observability

All The Seats

AC2 is going to have more “seats” available for this harmonious collaboration than any previous AutoCon event:

  • We’ve expanded the conference capacity to 500 attendees, the largest of any NAF event yet; we’re striving to balance bringing together as many people in the network automation community as we can, while providing the ability to maintain and build relationships and not be overwhelming

  • With a set of brilliant workshop partners, we’re delivering 16 different half-day workshops that cover a variety of topics in network automation, allowing workshop attendees to pick content that is interesting and useful to them

  • With our friends at USNUA, we’ve arranged a fun offsite social event on Thursday night that is guaranteed to be entertaining

  • Packet Pushers returns to document and trumpet all the AC2 conversations

  • More sponsors are engaged than ever before as well, giving opportunities for everyone to interact with solution providers of all kinds

Lead The Way

Our desire as NAF is to set a positive example and lead the way on how to work together in the spirit of mutual respect for each other toward that common goal: support the adoption of network automation through sharing information and promoting best practices.

See You There

Thank you for being part of this community and consciously focusing on what we can do to advance network automation. If you haven’t registered yet, please do ASAP; all those seats will certainly be claimed. Come to AC2, pull up a chair, and let’s do this together.

See you in Denver!
