#AutoCon0: The Network (Automation) Effect

We've been working hard to plan AutoCon0, the inaugural meeting of the Network Automation Forum, and having lots of fun fascinating conversations with people from all over the industry. It’s encouraging to see all the network automation innovation that is being applied.

One common theme has emerged from these conversations: many people have been working on pieces of the network automation puzzle for a long time, and yet there is a real stall in companies making significant investments in network automation. Many people seem to be able to diagnose the symptoms, but we collectively can't seem to prescribe the right medicine.

That's where AutoCon0 comes in. AutoCon0 is a place for people to come together and develop some real momentum to drive greater adoption of network automation.

Amplify our Grassroots Efforts

Much like network automation, planning for AutoCon0 has been an inherently grassroots effort. It's been powered by the passion and dedication of people who believe that network automation is an important element in the future of networking.

AutoCon0 is a unique opportunity for people to come together and make a real difference in the future of network automation. Online interaction is helpful, but meeting in person offers important dynamics that you don't get online.

Coming together in person will help us develop a network effect. You’ll connect with many industry peers and colleagues wrestling with these issues. We'll be able to share ideas and stories on how to make progress, and we'll leave AutoCon0 with new connections that can help each of us move forward. This makes online distributed collaboration much more effective for the long term.

Why You Should Attend AutoCon0

Hear from the experts: AutoCon0 will feature a lineup of world-class speakers who are the do-ers in network automation. You'll learn about the latest trends and technologies, and you'll get practical tips and ideas on how to implement network automation in your own organization.

Network with your peers: AutoCon0 is a great opportunity to meet and network with other professionals who are passionate about network automation. You'll be able to share ideas and experiences, and you'll learn from each other.

Get involved in the community: AutoCon0 is more than just a conference. It's a community of people who are working together to advance network automation. By attending AutoCon0, you can become a part of this community and help to shape the future of network automation.

I Like My Lab

I know what some of you are thinking: "I'm a network engineer. I'm not a people person. I'd rather stay in my lab and play with Python, routers, and switches all day long." And lockdowns over the last couple of years just made it easier to just stay home.

And that's perfectly understandable. But I'm here to urge you to get out of your lab for a bit and come to AutoCon0.

Network automation is not just about technology. It's also about people and making the lives of network engineers better. It's about working together to identify, build, and implement solutions. It's about communicating with people at all levels of the organization, from the CEO to the network technician.

AutoCon0 is the perfect place to do all of those things. You'll meet other network engineers who are facing the same challenges that you are, and you'll learn from their experiences. You'll also have the opportunity to network with vendors and solution providers who can help you to implement network automation in your organization.

So don't be afraid to come out of your lab and come to AutoCon0. It's the best way to learn about network automation and to become a part of the community of people who are making it happen.
